Omsk refinery starts construction of fuel hydrorefining unit

Omsk Oil Refinery owned by Gazpromneft-ONPZ has launched the construction of a diesel and cat-cracked gasoline hydro-refining plant. This new large investment project started off with laying the first stone in the place where new production facilities will be running by early 2012. The goal of the project is to enhance the Omsk refinery with facilities capable of producing class 4 and 5 oil products, including a cat-cracked gasoline hydro-refining plant with an annual capacity of 1.2 million metric tons and a diesel hydro-refining plant with an annual capacity of 3 million metric tons. More than 12 billion rubles (US$409.57 million) will be invested in the construction of new production facilities at the refinery this year. (April 1, 2010)
