Pertamina’s lubricant oil exports to reach 180 million liters

PT Pertamina, Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company, said it expects this year’s lubricant oil exports to reach 180 million liters because of increased confidence in its products in both the domestic and international markets. Pertamina’s Region V Sales Manager Waljiyanto told newsmen that the company’s Fastron and Enduro lubricants are now being exported to 20 countries in Asia, Europe and the United States. “Now there is a new phenomenon. Foreigners have started using lubricants from Pertamina, such as Australia, which has become our biggest export market,” he said. Exports reached a total of 116 million liters in 2011. “We have resolved to expand our market further. This year, our sales target including exports, is set at 596 million liters, while total lubricant demand is estimated to rise from 720 million liters in 2011,” Waljiyanto said. (March 23, 2012)
