Philippines streamlines biofuel accreditation process

Philippine government agencies will sign a joint administrative order to put up a one-stop shop to streamline biofuel producers’ application for accreditation and encourage investment in biofuel production, officials said. “The accreditation process covers different agencies…what the joint administrative order will do is consolidate everything under one rule,” Mario C. Marasigan, director of energy utilization and management bureau of the Department of Energy said. “What is happening now is that the biofuel producers need to go to every agency [to file applications],” he said.
