Reliance leases Vopak oil storage in Singapore

India’s Reliance Industries Ltd. is ready to start its new 580,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Jamnagar. The company is taking 100,000 cubic meters (cu m) of clean oil products storage from Royal Vopak NV, a Dutch-based storage operator in Singapore, for lease. Vopak has started using 320,000 cu m of Banyan facility in early Nov. 2008 and increased its fuel and chemicals storage capacity to 2.5 million cu m and more. (December 24, 2008)
