RIL gets U.S. government’s liquid-fuel project grant

India’s Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) has received a grant of US$600,000 for its proposed coal-to-liquid fuel project in the country. The grant was provided by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and was disclosed in the 2008 National Export Strategy report from the U.S. government’s Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee (TPCC). The grant is in line with USTDA and the Department of Energy’s support for the U.S.-India Energy Dialogue. (December 21, 2008)
