Seaoil rolls out high-octane gasoline

Independent oil player Seaoil Philippines Inc. officially launched its high-octane gasoline on July 1. The Extreme 97+ gasoline brand was initially supplied to 36 stations in the city center of Metro Manila and will soon be available in Seaoil’s 149 retail stations nationwide. High-octane gasoline, the company said, can help ignite accumulated toxic deposits in engines, bringing them back to optimum performance. According to Seaoil President Francis Glenn Yu, the fuel is able to reduce emissions as it is an ethanol blend. He added that technology and product innovation will become a perpetual strategy for the company’s growth, in addition to its continuing bid to widen its retail network. Earlier, Seaoil developed E85 fuel, a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. (July 5, 2009)
