Shell scouting for large-scale projects

Royal Dutch Shell PLC said it is interested in large-scale projects like the US$18 billion Pearl Gas-to-Liquids plant in Qatar, which is now producing close to full capacity. “We are looking for places where gas is cheap and [oil] products are expensive,” Andy Brown, executive vice president of Shell said at the World Petroleum Congress in Doha, Qatar. He added, “Clearly the U.S. is something we’re looking at.” (December 5, 2011)
