Thai Honda exports parts to Japan

Honda Motor Co. Ltd.โ€™s Asia and Oceania regional headquarters said it has started to export motorcycle knock down engine sets, electronic fuel injection system units and other component parts to Japan. The knock down sets and components, manufactured by Thai Honda Manufacturing Co. Ltd. in the district of Ladkrabang in Bangkok, will be transported to the companyโ€™s facility in Kumamoto, Japan for use in the new Honda Super Cub 110 model. The Super Cub 100 was launched in Japan on June 19, 2009. Among the components that Thailand has exported to Japan for the Honda Super Cub 110 is Hondaโ€™s state-of-the-art 110cc four-stroke air cooled engine equipped with the PGM-FI Fuel Injection system. This technology is currently deployed in the Honda CZ-i and Wave 110i โ€œgreenโ€ models, which Honda claims provide better fuel efficiency, cleaner exhaust emissions and better overall performance than conventional models.
