VW's green vehicles to debut in 2013
Volkswagen AG said it will introduce Chinese-made electric cars as early as 2013, joining carmakers in the race for green mobility in the world’s largest auto market. The German carmaker said in its new energy vehicle strategy that its green vehicle fleet would include an electric car developed on its Lavida sedan, as well as a Blue Motion Volkswagen Golf compact. The Blue Motion is one of VW’s most important technologies which offer greater fuel efficiency and less pollution with an improved Turbo-charged Direct Injection (TDI) engine. (April 24, 2010)
