LUKOIL now main lubricant supplier for MAN’s German engine plant
Russian oil company LUKOIL says it is now the main lubricant supplier for MAN’s engine plant in Nuremberg, Germany. MAN Truck & Bus has production facilities in three European countries (Germany, Austria, and Poland), Russia, South Africa and Turkey.
The MAN Group, based in Munich, Germany, is one of Europe’s leading players in the commercial vehicle industry. The company is a full-range provider of commercial vehicles from a gross train weight of 3 tons through 250 tons. The MAN Group comprises two divisions: MAN Truck & Bus and MAN Latin America.
Since the beginning of the second half of 2020, all MAN diesel engines for commercial vehicles assembled at this plant are being filled with LUKOIL lubricants. The products are being produced at the LUKOIL plant in Vienna, Austria, which is certified according to IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 standards and has passed the strict quality audit of VW Formel Q.
LUKOIL and MAN have been developing a partnership since 2016. In addition to the supply of lubricants for factory fill, LUKOIL is a partner of MAN in after-sales services for the production and supply of genuine oils under the MAN brand in Europe and CIS countries.
The partners concentrated on technical cooperation with the aim of developing engine oils that meet the newest global standards and technologies for future generation engines. Due to their close cooperation, LUKOIL lubricants has seen its list of approved products meeting the latest MAN technical standards expand.
“It is an important event for our company, contributing to the development of international activities and the strengthening of partnerships with OEMs in the framework of supplying their first and service fill. It is extremely valuable for us that MAN, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, trusts the quality and reliability of LUKOIL lubricants,” said LLK-International CEO Kirill Vereta.
