Terminals Pty signs up Caltex Australia

Caltex Australia has signed a 25-year deal with Terminals Pty Ltd, Australia’s largest independent bulk liquid terminalling company, to be the foundation customer for a new fuel storage facility. The new A$80 million (US$86 million) facility is being built at Adelaide’s Outer Harbor. The new terminal, which is expected to be completed by 2013, will initially have a capacity of 85 million liters. Phil Amos, national manager of lubricants and direct sales for Caltex, said the new storage facility will benefit the growing mining industry with its increased need for diesel fuel. โ€œCaltex has seen a continued growth in its national marketing business, driven in part by increased sales of transport fuels which grew to 15.1 billion liters in 2010. Our increased commitment to fuel supply infrastructure in Adelaide follows an expansion in our storage capacity in Western Australia and Queensland where we are servicing the rapid growth in the mining sector.” (July 14,2011)
