Master Fluid Solutions launches 3D Barrel Warehouse in Tianjin

Master Fluid Solutions (MFS) marked a milestone in its pursuit of modernisation and innovation with the inauguration of its new 3D Barrel Warehouse at its Tianjin plant in northern China. The event was attended by Richard Lu, MFS China general manager, and Ahmed Tahir, MFS global vice president for Strategy and Marketing, who praised employees’ efforts in achieving this significant upgrade.

A 3D Barrel Warehouse refers to a modern, automated storage facility specifically designed for the efficient storage and handling of barrels (typically containing liquids like oil, chemicals, or beverages). The “3D” aspect implies vertical, horizontal, and depth optimisation for space utilisation, facilitated by advanced technology. 

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Lu and Tahir commended the dedication of the workforce, particularly those with more than a decade of service. They emphasised that the company’s sustained growth is built on the contributions of its employees.

The 3D Barrel Warehouse leverages vertical space to optimise storage, reduce manual labour, and improve production efficiency. Established in 2007, the Tianjin plant has consistently invested in advanced equipment and systems to deliver high-quality products. This latest development reflects a step forward in Master Fluid’s commitment to automation and intelligent manufacturing.

The project, initiated in 2023, represents a significant investment in automation. After months of dedicated effort, the system is now fully operational, enhancing the plant’s capacity to meet customer demands while alleviating physical strain on workers.
