Mathieu Boulandet named Castrol Marine and Energy CEO

Castrol, a global leader in lubricants, has named Mathieu Boulandet as the CEO of its Global Marine and Energy business. Boulandet brings extensive international experience, having held leadership roles in lubricants and industrial sectors for more than two decades.

Boulandet joined Castrol in 2018 as global industrial technology manager, based in Germany. Prior to this, he spent 17 years at TotalEnergies, where he held various roles across the lubricants value chain, including sales, global account management, technology, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. With extensive international experience, Boulandet has lived and worked in Denmark, Germany, France, the Middle East, Singapore, China, and South Korea, bringing a diverse range of regional and global insights to his career.

Previously serving as vice president for Castrol’s Industrial business in Europe, Boulandet played a key role in driving sustainable and profitable growth. Since joining Castrol in 2018, he has contributed significantly to innovation and strategy, leveraging his expertise from prior positions at TotalEnergies, where he worked across sales, technology, and mergers and acquisitions.

In his new role, Boulandet will oversee Castrol’s Marine and Energy operations, focusing on delivering advanced digital technologies and lubricant solutions. His work will address efficiency, sustainability, and the challenges posed by evolving regulations in the marine and energy sectors.
