Penthol LLC USA appoints Harji Gill as chief executive officer
Penthol LLC USA, based in Houston, Texas, U.S.A., announced the appointment of Harji Gill as chief executive officer effective September 1, 2020.
Gill joins Penthol with more than 20 years of experience serving in executive-level roles at leading companies on a global basis in the lubricants and specialty products markets. Most recently, Gill was vice president and general manager of Finished Lubricants and Chemicals at Calumet Specialty Products Partners. Gill served as president of Golden Triangle Lubricants LLC, a controlled subsidiary of Pinnacle Oil, to supply lubricants and services to large marine vessels across the U.S.Gulf Coast, from 2005 to 2013. He worked at Pinnacle Oil, an integrated independent lubricant manufacturer and packager based in Indianapolis, Indiana, from 1992-2013.
Gill has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in science, Physics, from GND University India, and a master of business administration degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.
In May 2017, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) appointed Penthol as the exclusive seller of its Group III base oil in the United States. ADNOC produces up to 500,000 metric tonnes per year of Group III base oils through the Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer), an ADNOC Group Company. Group III base oils, together with petroleum additives, are used to formulate finished lubricants.
Vertex Energy, Inc., one of the largest processors of used motor oil in the United States, with processing capacity of more than 115 million gallons annually in Houston and Port Arthur, Texas; Marrero, Louisiana; and, Columbus, Ohio, will continue as sales representative of Penthol for ADBASE Group III in the U.S.A.
