Petro-Canada Lubricants unveils tailored lubricant solutions for EVs

Petro-Canada Lubricants, a brand under HF Sinclair, has introduced a new range of lubricant solutions specifically designed for electric vehicles (EVs) – Petro-Canada Lubricants EVR.

The introduction of EVR lubricants allows Petro-Canada Lubricants to assist original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in overcoming current EV challenges and spurring innovation in the development of future high-performance EV technology. The new product brands include EVR Driveline, EVR Thermal Management, and EVR Motor Greases, all aimed at enhancing performance, protection, and reliability for EVs.

“Our new EVR product line will further enable OEMs, commercial fleets, and consumers to realise the promise of EV technology. We’re looking forward to supporting the development of technologies that drive the reliability and performance of EVs,” said Alex Buczek, Global Segment manager, Transportation, Petro-Canada Lubricants.

EVR fluids and greases offer OEMs improved material compatibility, efficient power transfer, and enhanced equipment performance. This enables the development of advanced driveline, axle, and battery technologies for use across various sectors, including automotive, heavy- and medium-duty transportation.

Petro-Canada Lubricants is a member of the Southwest Research Institute’s Advanced Fluids for Electric Vehicles (AFEV) Consortium, which is working to advance the automotive industry’s understanding of the unique stressors placed on EV and hybrid vehicle fluids.
