PETRONAS Dagangan launches all-new PETRONAS Primax 95 with Pro-Drive

PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB), the domestic marketing arm of Malaysia’s state-owned Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) has launched the all-new PETRONAS Primax 95 with Pro-Drive that promises a smoother drive, responsive engine performance and enhanced fuel efficiency.

The company claims that the “world’s first dual friction modifier” in the new fuel helps reduce friction by 20%, as compared to previous single friction modifiers, thus allowing engines to run smoother and be more responsive. The double dose of detergent additive in the fuel is also supposed to have boosted the fuel’s cleaning agent, eliminating up to 99% carbon deposits to ensure a cleaner engine and better fuel efficiency. Additionally, the fuel’s anti-corrosion chemistry gives engines two times better protection for superior engine performance, the company claims.

The new fuel formulation leverages on PETRONAS’ world-class research and development facilities in Europe and in the U.S.A. that have been supporting the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 record its fifth consecutive World Constructors Championship in 2018. The engineers carried on to formulate fuel that meets current road engine technology and requirements, from indirect injection to direct injection and hybrid.

The launch of Primax 95 with Pro-Drive on 29 January was officiated by Malaysia’s Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Y.B. Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, accompanied by PDB’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin.

Speaking at the event, Datuk Seri Saifuddin said, “I appreciate PDB investing resources and developing new solutions to raise the bar and introduce better products into the market. There is nothing better than healthy competition between industry players because at the end of the day, the customers win with quality products meeting their demands.”

“PDB is embarking on a transformation journey to undertake unconventional route in delivering products and services that reduce frictions in our customers’ everyday life and journey. We are adopting a customer-obsessed mindset in this journey and there will be more innovative and value-added offerings awaiting our customers from here forth,” said Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal.

Beyond fuel, PDB has also introduced its new Kedai Mesra with enhanced offerings, including F&B complementing the signature Mornings@Mesra. More than 100 PETRONAS stations in the Klang Valley are already Setel-enabled, South East Asia’s first e-payment app that allows drivers to purchase fuel from the comfort of their vehicles. And the ROVR trucks, an innovative mobile fuel delivery service, will be roving the streets to provide fleet customers with a new refueling experience.
