Q8Oils launches ultra-high performance passenger car motor oil

Q8Oils, based in Kiel, Antwerpen, Belgium, has introduced Q8 Formula Prestige V 5W-30, an ultra-high performance passenger car motor oil, specially formulated to meet the severe demands of today’s and future generations of engines. The engine oil offers fuel economy, engine protection and after treatment device protection for VW, BMW and Daimler diesel and gasoline engines.

The new product offers the following advantages:

Q8 Formula Prestige V 5W-30 offers a proven fuel economy of 2.28 %. In the Daimler M111E fuel economy tests, the oil provided a fuel economy benefit of 2.28% for vehicle owners.

Q8 Formula Prestige V 5W-30 is officially VW 504.00 and 507.00 approved, according to the most stringent Baumuster 2020 test programme. After gaining the ACEA C3 approval, the Formula Prestige V 5W-30 has been tested for more than 10,000 hours under the renewed Baumuster test programme, evaluating its performance against specific VW engine characteristics. It is exactly this new 2020-edition Baumuster test-method that makes the Q8 Formula Prestige V 5W-30 unique, as standard VW 504.00 and 507.00 specifications are based on older test methods dating from 2005.

In the newest generation and most advanced engines, the risk of Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI) is much higher. LSPI is a form of abnormal combustion that might occur in small engines with high compression.Q8 Formula Prestige V 5W-30 is fully compliant with all the existing LSPI tests, the company said. The product meets the latest API SP specification.

Q8 Formula Prestige V 5W-30 offers optimal protection for both diesel and gasoline particulate filters, the company said. Due to more stringent emission legislations, modern cars are equipped with diesel particulate filters and gasoline particulate filters (GPF). Q8 Formula Prestige V 5W-3 is fully compatible with GPFs. By incorporating a lower ash level from the outset, the lubricant minimises GPF blockage.

Q8 Formula Prestige V 5W-30 is available in varied packaging (IBC, 208 L, 60 L, 20 L, 4×4 L, 15×1 L).
