Ricardo announces two-phase expansion strategy

In the first of two phases marking the companys expansion in China, Ricardo Plc, a leading independent technology provider and strategic consultant to the worlds automotive industries, has moved into a new technical center with three-times the working area of its previous location in Shanghai. This center, located in Caohejing, can house around 100 employees. Staff at the new premises will work on services and projects for both Chinese and overseas clients. According to the company, around 90% of the employees at the center have technical and engineering roles. In the second phase, which is scheduled for completion by the end of 2008, the company will establish a testing facility in the Anting area, west of Shanghai. This facility will have proximity to the technical headquarters of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) and the SAIC Volkswagen assembly plant, the company said. (August 29, 2008)
