SAE International announces new TC 7 chairman

SAE International, based in Troy, Mich., U.S.A., announced the election of Roger Gault for a two-year term as chairman of the SAE Fuels and Lubricants Technical Committee (TC) 7 Fuels Committee. He has been a member of SAE International for more than 40 years.

The TC 7 Committee is responsible for the development of SAE Standards, Recommended Practices, Information Reports and related information pertinent to the technical aspects of fuels for internal combustion engines used in ground vehicles.

Gault is the technical director of the Truck and Engine Manufacturers Association (EMA), based in Chicago, Ill., U.S.A. He has been with the EMA since 2003 and has worked in the engine and off-road equipment industries since 1973.

Among his other responsibilities, Gault provides staff support for EMA’s fluids-related committee activities, including diesel fuel, gaseous fuels, coolants and lubricants, and non-road spark-ignition engine activities.

Gault has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
