Savant Group unveils new global headquarters

The SAVANT GROUP, comprised of four individual companies that provide products and services to the lubricant, transportation, and energy industries, unveiled the first look of its new global headquarters as the company celebrated its 50thย anniversary. The new facilities will be constructed on Bay City Road in Midland, Michigan, U.S.A., reaffirming the groupโ€™s commitment to the Great Lakes Bay region.

The new 53,000 square foot building will welcome the natural beauty of the 30-acre site and bring the outside in with high ceilings, large energy-efficient windows, skylights, automatic control systems, and an open floorplan design. The campus will embrace the wetlands adjacent to the building, enhancing them with nature trails where possible. Inspiring collaboration and innovation, the interior will be designed in an urban industrial style throughout.

The USD10 million investment will house Savant Labs, Tannas Co., King Refrigeration, and the Institute of Materials of the Savant Group along with the Center for Quality Assurance and a new machine shop. It will include laboratory testing, manufacturing, research, technical training, and administrative space for more than 85 employees today. The new global headquarters will provide room to grow, allowing for an anticipated 40% increase in job creation over the next several years.

Designed by FED Design/Builders from Gladwin, Michigan, with interior design by SPACE also from Midland, the headquarters are scheduled to be completed in early 2021.

โ€œThis is an exciting time for us as we unveil our new headquarters in the year of our 50th anniversary. We have come a long way since Ted Selby started Savant Labs in 1969 as a materials-consulting firm. It truly shows the dedication and hard work of our employees and is a significant milestone in pursuit of our goal to continuously improve our service to our growing global customer base,โ€ said Rebecca Cox, president.
