SGS acquires a majority stake in ARGUS International

SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, has acquired a majority stake in ARGUS International, Inc., based in Denver, Colorado, U.S.A.

ARGUS is a provider of data-driven inspection, audit, safety and compliance solutions to the global aviation market.

Founded in 1995 and privately owned, ARGUS has a network of more than 100 employees and expert consultants and generated revenues of approximately USD10 million last year.

Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A., ARGUS is actively engaged with customers in more than 60 countries, spanning six continents. In 2015, ARGUS entered into a strategic relationship with Air Works, a leading diversified aviation services provider with a presence in four continents across the globe. Air Works provides engineering, asset management, and safety and technology solutions to the global aviation marketplace.

With more than 97,000 employees, SGS operates a network of more than 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
