Shell-branded stations in U.S. now accepting GM’s in-dash fuel payment

Royal Dutch Shell affiliate Shell Oil Company and General Motors (GM) said that Shell-branded stations across the United States now accept the automotive industry’s first-ever embedded in-dash fuel payment.

The companies said that customers with eligible Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles will be able to refuel at Shell stations using Shell Pay & Save within the GM Marketplace, the automotive industry’s first commerce platform for on-demand reservations and purchases of goods and services, to pay directly from the infotainment screen, earning and redeeming Fuel Rewards savings in the process.

As part of the launch of in-dash fuel payment, customers driving eligible vehicles may earn a one-time discount of 25 U.S. cents per gallon in Fuel Rewards savings, up to 20 gallons, on the next single fueling transaction after signing up and using Shell Pay & Save within GM Marketplace and make a purchase of at least five gallons.

These customers may also earn an extra 5 U.S. cents per gallon in Fuel Rewards savings, up to 20 gallons, after each fuel purchase of at least five gallons on every fill-up through 31ย December 2018.
