Shell Lubricants launches next generation of hydraulic oils

Shell Lubricants, a unit of Shell Malaysia, aims to grow its market leadership with the launch of the next generation of Shell Tellus S2 MX and VX hydraulic oils.

The company said the new cutting-edge lubricants would be able to help businesses lower the total cost of ownership by maximising equipment efficiency, prolonging equipment life and reducing downtime.

“The next generation Shell Tellus S2 MX and VX hydraulic oils reflect Shell’s technology leadership and its desire to offer cutting-edge lubricant products, as well as technical services that benefit businesses operating in an increasingly challenging economic environment,” said Shell Lubricants Malaysia and Singapore General Manager, Leslie Ng.

He said that for the past 70 years, Shell has been offering more than just superior lubricant products that protect equipment used in diverse sectors, including agriculture, plantation, aviation, construction, manufacturing, marine, metals, mining, quarrying and power generation.

“Shell Lubricants also plans to introduce more next-generation products for different industrial applications in the near future,” Ng said.

The new Shell Tellus S2 (MX variant) is among the first hydraulic oils in the market to meet Germany’s Bosch Rexroth’s new approval standards.

It demonstrates excellent wear protection even under operating conditions that are 13 times more severe than standard industry tests, according to Shell.
