Shell Rimula product family grows to include Shell Rimula Ultra 5W-30

Shell launched Shell Rimula Ultra 5W-30 with Dynamic Protection Plus Technology, Shell’s most advanced heavy-duty diesel engine oil to date.

“Shell Rimula Ultra 5W-30 has been formulated to help customers save time and money, whether they are maintaining a single vehicle or an entire fleet,” says Andrew Gibson, Shell UK marketing manager.

As a new, premium product in the Shell Rimula product family, Shell Rimula Ultra 5W-30 is based on Dynamic Protection Plus Technology.  It offers advantages in terms of long oil life and extended oil-drain intervals, excellent engine wear protection under all terrains and weather conditions, according to Shell. Gibson says Shell Rimula Ultra 5W-30 can help reduce fuel costs by a fuel economy improvement of up to 2%.

The new Shell Rimula Ultra 5W-30 heavy-duty diesel engine oil is distinguished by its wide range of approvals, the company says. It complies with both the latest European specifications (ACEA E6 and ACEA E9) and manufacturers’ approvals for use in Euro 4 to Euro 6 diesel engines.

Shell recommends Shell Rimula Ultra 5W-30 especially for ultra-modern power units complying with Euro 5 and Euro 6 emission standards.

Apart from the new Shell Rimula Ultra 5W-30, the Shell Rimula R5 and R6 range, with the exception of Shell Rimula R5 LM and R6 ME, are now based on Dynamic Protection Plus Technology. Additionally, Shell Rimula R6 LM 10W-40 and Shell Rimula R6 M 10W-40 engine oils for utility vehicles have been further developed to comply with additional specifications, enabling them to be suitable for an even more extensive range of applications.

The Shell Rimula product family also gets a make-over with a new packaging design.
