Thailand’s PSP Specialties celebrates 30 years

PSP Specialties Co., Ltd., a fully Thai owned and managed company celebrated its 30-year anniversary at the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok on 9 September 2019, an auspicious date in Thailand.

Honoured guests, led by Samut Sakorn Governor Somkid Chantamaruek were welcomed by Pavares Boontanonda, chairman of the Board, and Sint Krongphanich, chief executive officer.

The special celebration focused not only on the company’s past success but also on the next step it is about to undertake in transforming itself to a publicly listed company. Thus, the theme of the anniversary celebration was “Walk into the Future,” during which Pavares and Sint warmly welcomed their business partners from Thailand and overseas.

PSP Specialties, which was established in 1989, has been providing petroleum storage for leading oil companies for 30 years. Each year, the company stores and distributes more than 3,000 million litres of fuel. Besides oil storage services, the company is also a world-class one-stop service provider to the lubricants industry. Today, it is Thailand’s largest manufacturer of lubricants, greases, rubber process oils, and transformer oils.

“For the past 30 years, we have never stopped improving. We continue to grow and increase our production capacity every year. With the international standard that is recognized and accepted worldwide, every process is controlled by our professional team who are ready to drive our technology to the next level. Our technology research center develops products to keep pace with technology and the needs of consumers in the modern world. No matter what route they choose, our endless creativity led to tremendous innovation and technology that will continuously adapt and to move us ahead into the future,” said Pavares.

“We are ready to open the gateway to the world with our logistic system that integrates both land and sea routes. Our oil storage capacity is sufficient to meet the demand of the rapidly growing global market. In addition, PSP Specialties’ geographic advantages enable us to connect to countries in both Asia and beyond. With innovation-driven, we will continue to work hard to take us toward a better tomorrow,” said Sint.

The highlight of the anniversary celebration was the opportunity to give back to society. PSP Specialties CEO Sint presented three checks in the amount of BHT900,000 (USD29,650) each to three hospitals: Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health (Children Hospital), the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital-Mahidol University, and the Faculty of Medicine Chulalongkorn University. PSP also donated BHT300,000 (USD9,883) each to three schools located close to their factory.
