UMW Grantt International (UMWG), a subsidiary of the UMW Group, has introduced a new line of lubricants at its ISO 9001:2008-certified plant in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. Datuk Dr. Nik Norzul Thani bin Nik Hassan Thani, UMW manufacturing and engineering chairman, unveiled the range of lubricants to distributors from Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.

The GRANTT lubricants include a passenger car motor oil range called Stellar, a motorcycle oil range called Quadra, and a diesel engine oil called Quasar. GRANT lubricants are formulated from premium-quality base oils, with proprietary formulation to keep engines extremely clean and provide exceptional fuel efficiency, wear protection and performance.

“The GRANTT PCMO (Passenger Car Motor Oil) Stellar range has been tested to meet the American Petroleum Institute’s API-SN requirements, as well as the stringent European Automobile Manufacturers Association ACEA A3/B4 standard. The GRANTT lubricants that we launch today are products that UMW is truly proud to endorse; and we are confident that GRANTT will be a product that customers will repeatedly turn to power their rides,” said UMW Manufacturing & Engineering Executive Director Megat Shahrul Azmir Nordin.

The GRANTT product line has been on the market since 2012, and has now been upgraded as a premium product. UMWG plans to have a presence across Malaysia and an exporting network across the ASEAN region. Over the next five years, it is targeting sales growth of up to MYR100 million (USD27.7 million).
