PV Oil gets first batch of kerosene from Dung Quat

PetroVietnam Oil Corp. (PV Oil) has received the first batch of kerosene from Vietnam’s first oil refinery, Dung Quat, in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. The batch of kerosene, the state-owned Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) affiliate said, will be stored at Cu Lao Tao petroleum warehouse in Vung Tau city for distribution to southern provinces. According to Le Xuan Trinh, PV Oil’s deputy general director, the warehouse will include six containers with a combined storage capacity of 150,000 cu m. PV Oil so far has distributed nationwide more than 9,000 tons of diesel fuel produced by the refinery. The US$3.1 billion plant is expected to produce 2.6 million tons of oil products, including nearly one million tons of gasoline, in 2009. (June 3, 2009)
