YPF exclusively distributes Chevron NEXBASE base oils in Argentina

Chevron Products Company, a division of Chevron U.S.A. Inc., has announced a strategic agreement with YPF, designating it as the exclusive distributor of NEXBASE® base oils in Argentina. This partnership builds on YPF’s ongoing role as a distributor of Chevron Group II base oils, leveraging its expansive distribution network and technical expertise.

As Argentina remains the third-largest lubricants market in Latin America, the modernisation of vehicle fleets has created a surging demand for premium lubricants. Reformulating these high-quality lubricants can present challenges for blenders, including increased complexity and costs. Chevron’s extensive portfolio of qualifications and YPF’s technical capabilities aim to simplify this process, enabling blenders to save both time and resources when developing advanced formulations.

Alicia Logan, general manager of Chevron Base Oils, remarked, “YPF is the ideal distributor for Chevron NEXBASE in Argentina.
