Zeller+Gmelin appoints Scaglione as new managing director
Zeller+Gmelin (ZG), an independent, medium-sized family business based in Eislingen, Germany, has announced the appointment of Alexandra Scaglione as the new managing director responsible for Finance & Controlling, as well as HR, within the Zeller+Gmelin Group.
Founded 1866, the company manufactures lubricants, as well as printing inks and chemical products. With approximately 1,000 employees worldwide and 16 subsidiaries, Zeller+Gmelin delivers to 80 countries around the world and, in addition to Eislingen, has one production site each in the U.S.A., China and Great Britain.
Scaglione succeeds the long-standing Managing Director Walter Jerusalem, who will retire in May 2023. She has been a member of the management of Zeller+Gmelin since December 1, 2022.
“We are pleased to have an extremely experienced financial expert at our side in Ms. Scaglione,” said Siegfried Müller, who is responsible for operations at Zeller+Gmelin.
The new Zeller+Gmelin managing director started her career as an auditor at Ernst & Young and as a management consultant at Roland Berger. Scaglione brings additional experience from more than 10 years in audit and finance at Harman International. Most recently, she spent nine years as finance director at Valeo GmbH in Bietigheim-Bissingen. At Valeo, she was responsible for finance and accounting, taxes, customs and IT for the company’s domestic and foreign subsidiaries. Under her leadership, numerous projects in the areas of digitalisation, system integration and process efficiency were successfully implemented.
“The globally active ZG Group with its lubricants, printing inks and process chemicals divisions is a demanding company and I’m really looking forward to the new challenge,” said Scaglione.
