ZF debuts aftermarket e-Fluids at Automechanika

Car parts maker ZF, which is headquartered in Friedrichshafen, Germany, has introduced a range of aftermarket e-Fluids, an extension to the existing ZF Lifeguard family for internal combustion engines (ICE).

Since more electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles are being serviced or repaired in independent workshops, ZF Aftermarket is now offering new high-performance oils for electric and hybrid vehicles: ZF Lifeguard eFluid for electric car reduction gears, electric motors and power electronics, as well as ZF Lifeguard Hybrid for ZF passenger car hybrid transmissions.

ZF estimates that by 2030 more than half of all newly produced vehicles worldwide will be pure electric or hybrid electric.

Electric driveline systems produce more torque and force than conventional combustion engines. This requires premium fluids to ensure reduced wear, greater protection and improved vehicle performance. Being an original equipment (OE) systems supplier, ZF said it โ€œcan guarantee meeting these high requirements.โ€

Initially announced on August 4, ZFโ€™s aftermarket e-Fluids made their debut at last weekโ€™s Automechanika exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany.
