Zeller+Gmelin launches heavy duty hypoid axle gear oil

German lubricant manufacturer Zeller+Gmelin announced the launch of Divinol Multi-Axle LS 80W-90, a new high performance limited slip hypoid gear oil meeting demanding specifications across different user industries.

The versatile premium oil offers robust protection for geared axle drives and differentials exposed to dirt, heat or other challenges in applications like construction equipment, logistics or agricultural sectors.

Automotive Product Manager Andreas Krapf said the efficient new formulation builds on the company’s strong OEM ties targeting rationalized fleet compatibility. Its backward compatibility and approvals also ease potential transition.

The lubricant has already received an approval for the ZF TE-ML 05N and 21N standards from the Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen (ZF). Thus it covers the previous standards ZF TE-ML 05C and 21C, which means that the new limited-slip gear oil is backwards compatible.

“With Divinol Multi-Axle LS 80W90, we are now presenting our global users a multi grade hypoid gear oil of the latest generation with limited-slip additives.”

“This is not only ideal for heavy-duty machines and vehicles in particularly difficult terrain, but due to its versatility and efficiency it also contributes to the rationalization of types in the fleet.”

For example, the gear oil can also be used as a conventional API GL-5 transmission fluid, which allows the existing oil balance in mixed fleets to be optimized.
