Chevron launches Rykon heavy-duty grease

Chevron announced a new grease product called Rykon®, formulated for extreme-pressure and heavy-duty applications. Rykon rounds out Chevron’s portfolio with a high-performance calcium sulfonate complex grease.

Rykon provides an alternative to increasingly expensive lithium-based greases. Its unique formulation aims to increase equipment longevity, extend re-lubrication intervals and reduce total cost of ownership.

“Rykon offers a solution for high-pressure uses to ensure customers have a top grease when needed,” said Chevron’s Zach Sutton, Chevron Lubricants Industrial sector specialist. “As demand grows globally, we remain committed to products that will exceed machinery demands now and in future.”

With outstanding oxidation and thermal stability plus water resistance, Rykon protects equipment from failure and downtime. It also handles shock loads and wear in heavy loads and high temperatures.

The new grease features updated branding and packaging that Chevron announced for its full grease line in March 2023.
