Authentix promotes Driscoll as CTO, Crouch as senior VP

Authentix, which provides advanced authentication solutions for governments, central banks and commercial products, announced on December 5 that Dr. Tim Driscoll, formerly senior vice president and general manager of the company’s currency and tax stamp business, has been appointed chief technology officer (CTO).

In his new role, Driscoll will direct research, innovation, and new product development at the Texas-based brand protection and authentication specialist, which has been expanding its technology and business offering in recent years with the acquisitions of Security Print Solutions Limited in 2019, Traceless Authentication Group in 2020, and Strategic IP Information Pte. Ltd. (SIPI) in 2021. Authentix was purchased from an investment group led by The Carlyle Group and J.H. Whitney, Inc. by Blue Water Energy in 2017.

Driscoll has a PhD and master’s degree in physics from Brown University and a BS in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Driscoll previously provided strategic direction to Authentix and represented the company in its dealings with central banks, governments, and other partners. He has been with the company since 2005, when he took the role of vice president of global operations after a 10-year stint at Spectra Systems as head of materials engineering.

“Tim Driscoll has been a key contributor to the success of Authentix for many years. I’m confident in his range of capabilities to lead the research and development teams and continue our growth in innovation and advanced technology offerings with our expanding client base well into the future,” said Kevin McKenna, chief executive officer of Authentix.

On December 7, Authentix announced that Chad Crouch has been appointed as senior vice president, Revenue Operations and a member of the executive leadership team.

Crouch previously served as vice president, Sales and Revenue Operations, where he was responsible for Government Sales in the Americas and Caribbean, as well as Revenue Operations. In his new role, Crouch will focus an expanded team on revenue growth and customer success and will lead global sales operations. The scope of responsibilities includes proposals, program delivery, program management, and solutions.

Crouch joined Authentix in 2013 as a director of Program Management, was later promoted to vice president of Oil & Gas Programs, and then to vice president of Sales and Revenue Operations.

Crouch holds an MBA and an MS in Finance from the University of Maryland – Robert H. School of Business.
