India to phase out Euro lll petrol and diesel

Starting March 31, 2012, Euro IV petrol and diesel fuel will be sold in seven cities in India and Euro III fuel will be phased out in seven cities, namely: Puducherry, Mathura, Vapi, Jamnagar, Ankaleshwar, Hissar and Bharatpur. Indiaโ€™s Ministry of Oil has directed the three state-owned oil companies, Indian Oil Corp., Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. and Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd. to stop selling Euro III gasoline and diesel fuel in 50 cities by 2015. (December 29, 2011)
