Liaoning conducts quality inspection

The Bureau of Quality and Technology Supervision in Liaoning Province, China, released results of the sampling quality inspection on gasoline, diesel oil and lubricating oil in the province. The inspection showed that the actual colloidal substance of a batch of gasoline failed to meet the relevant standards, with the product sampling qualification ratio at 94.4%. In addition, as substandard raw materials were purchased for cost-cutting purposes, the samples tested failed to meet technical requirements. The product sampling qualification rate of lubricating oil stood at a mere 90.6%. In contrast, all diesel oil met the relevant standards. (September 8, 2008)
