NFAL to construct biodiesel plant

Sydney-based Babcock & Brown Environmental Investments (BEI) announced that its 50% owned company Natural Fuels Australia Ltd. (NFAL) is constructing a biodiesel plant in Darwin, Australia. Construction will be completed in September, with commissioning to follow in October. (July 18, 2006) In August, the company also announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Rockdale Beef Pty Ltd. for the proposed development of a fuel ethanol facility in rural New South Wales. The proposed plant will have a capacity of 150 million liters per annum. Other details were not available. (August 11, 2006)
