Petron introduces Blaze 100 Euro 5 fuel
Philippine-based Petron Corp. has rolled out Blaze 100 Euro 5 to the domestic market, the first Euro 5-compliant fuel in the country.
The announcement comes less than a year after the Philippine government mandated the use of Euro 4 compliant fuels.
Petron said that Blaze 100 Euro 5 is now available nationwide. Euro 5 fuels contain significantly less sulphur at 10 parts per million (ppm), compared with Euro 4 fuels with 50 ppm sulphur.
It also contains less than 1% benzene in terms of volume compared to the Philippine standard of up to 2%.
According to Petron, the high-performance Blaze 100 Euro 5 fuel delivers optimal power and acceleration, exceptional engine cleanliness, better fuel economy and lower emissions.
“With the highest octane rating but the lowest sulphur content, Petron Blaze 100 Euro 5 is the best gasoline in the market by far in terms of power, efficiency, and reduced emissions,” said Petron President and CEO Ramon Ang.
Blaze 100 Euro 5 is recommended for high-end, high-performance vehicles, according to Petron. It has a Research Octane Number (RON) rating of 100.
