Olympic Steel Promotes Terry Rohde to Director of Operations

Scott Besunder Becomes General Manager of Gary Division

CLEVELAND–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Olympic Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS), a leading national metals
service center, announced that Terry Rohde has been promoted to the new
position of Director of Operations.

Rohde began his career at Olympic Steel in 2001, and was promoted to
General Manager of the Chicago Division in 2008. As General Manager, he
also oversaw the start-up of the Company’s new facility in Gary,
Indiana. In his role as Director of Operations, Rohde will be
responsible for all Olympic Steel facilities and equipment and will
report to Andrew Greiff, Olympic Steel’s Executive Vice President and
Chief Operating Officer. Rohde earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
Manufacturing Engineering from The University of Wisconsin-Stout, and
completed the MSCI Strategic Metals Management Program at Washington
University.

Besunder has been Purchasing and Material Manager at the Gary division
since 2014. He joined Olympic Steel in 2004 and has worked across
finance, sales and management functions at multiple facilities. In his
new role, he will report to John Mooney, President and Chief Operating
Officer – Flat-rolled. Besunder earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
business administration from The Ohio State University.
