Fuel prices cause Singapore Airlines to cut two LA non-stop flights

In what industry experts say is a reaction to the rising cost of fuel, Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced that it will cut two of its seven non-atop flights to Los Angeles for approximately three months starting in May. Nicholas Ionides, SIA Spokesperson, confirmed the cuts. Ionides said that beginning next month, the airline will not operate its all business class Singapore Los Angeles flights on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Jet fuel prices recently reached US$140 a barrel.
