Cummins Asia Pacific names McLean to lead On-Highway Business

Cummins Inc., a global leader in power technology, has announced the appointment of Sean McLean as the new director and general manager for its On-Highway business in the Asia Pacific region, effective December 4, 2023.

With a robust background spanning more than three decades, McLean brings a wealth of commercial and technical expertise to his new role. His experience is deeply rooted in the industrial and automotive powertrain sectors, as well as in equipment markets.

McLean’s journey with Cummins Inc. began in 1993, where he has since played a pivotal role in both on- and off-highway markets through application engineering. He has also held significant business leadership positions within the South Pacific region. Notably, as general manager for marketing and On-Highway products, McLean played a crucial role in the development and launch of the SCR X15 engine platform.

Before rejoining Cummins, McLean held various positions at Penske Australia & New Zealand, further broadening his industry experience.

In his new role as director of the On-Highway business, McLean will oversee operations across the Asia Pacific, including Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Southeast Asia. He will also join the Cummins Asia Pacific Leadership Team and the Engine Business Unit’s global truck team.
