Evonik appoints technical service managers: Alexei Kurchan and JoRuetta Ellington
Evonik’s Oil Additives business has announced the addition of two technical service managers to its Americas Technology Center in Horsham, Penn., U.S.A. Alexei Kurchan and JoRuetta Ellington will work with customers on the implementation of Evonik’s advanced technologies and products for formulating energy-saving, resource-efficient lubricants.
Both Kurchan and Ellington bring to Evonik many years of experience in the lubricant additives industry. Previously, Kurchan was an application team leader for Croda Lubricants, leading new product development and customer support for the North American lubricant business. Before that, he worked at Infineum USA, L.P. developing new components and formulating driveline fluids with the Power Transmission Fluids Group. He holds a PhD in Organic and Physical Organic Chemistry from the University of Denver, as well as a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Moscow State University in Moscow, Russia.
Ellington worked at General Motors in a variety of roles, including research and development, sales, marketing, manufacturing, design and product development. Before that, she worked for Afton as a senior customer technical service specialist in the Latin American region. Ellington holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M and Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University.
