Gazprom neftekhim Salavat signs agreement with two Japanese firms

Russian petrochemicals producer Gazprom neftekhim Salavat announced in a press release that it has signed an agreement of understanding with Japanese companies Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., a production and design-engineering company; the company also signed an agreement with Sojitz Corporation, an international trading company. The three companies have agreed to research potential projects which could further advance the development plans of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat. The Russian company will provide the two Japanese firms with opportunities to participate in the optimization of its existing production facilities. Gazprom neftekhim Salavat had earlier signed an agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, with the support of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and Sojitz Corporation, for the licensing and creation of a basic design for its acrylic acid and acrylates complex.
