GM Thailand ready to develop flexible-fuel vehicles

GM Thailand says it is ready to develop and manufacture flexible-fuel vehicles (FFVs) in Thailand to run on a range of biofuels including E85 gasohol to aid the government’s alternative fuel policy, the Bangkok Post reports. A long-term plan is being formulated to ensure a high level of preparedness before production starts, said a company executive. GM in the United States has been researching alternative fuels for many years, with the main focus being on ethanol because it offers maximum user flexibility and convenience, he said.
