MRPL appoints new managing director

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) has appointed Uttam Kumar Basu as managing director effective September 1, after R. Rajamanis retirement from the same position. Basu, a chemical engineer from Jadhavpur University, has more than three decades of experience in refinery operations and management at Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. (September 2, 2008)
