Suzuki aims to continue dominance of city car market segment

PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor (SIM), the sole brand holder of Suzuki in Indonesia, is optimistic it will maintain its dominance of the city car market segment with about a 60-70% share. The optimism is based on the market enthusiasm for Suzuki New Karimun Estilo, which was introduced in Jakarta recently. Suzuki New Karimun Estilo, which has a 998 cc engine capacity, claims to consume one liter of gasoline for every 31 kilometers. โ€œDemand from some big cities is quite high that we believe to meet the target of 1,000 units up to the end of the year,โ€ said Marketing Director of PT SIM, Endro Nugroho.
