JFlex: Making “Bend, Stretch, Connect” a Reality! Kicking-off a New Materials and Converting Technology Dedicated Exhibition Apply Now!

TOKYO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Converting Technical Institute and JTB Communication Design will
hold the first ever “JFlex” flexible device material and
converting technology exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight from Wednesday,
January 30th to Friday, February 1st, 2019.

As the next step in the evolution of “Printable
Electronics”, which will have its 10th anniversary in
2018, JFlex will serve as a location for the presentation of new
market needs and solutions in the era of IoT. JFlex will be held
for the first time in January 2019.

Printable electronics technology utilizes printing processes to realize
thinner, larger area devices in short-runs more quickly and at lower
costs. More recently, however, we are seeing the development and
commercialization of human vital sign sensing wearable devices that
promote health, automotive interior integrated CIDs (center information
displays), and driver safety improving seat sensors. These new concepts
have thus led to greater interest in the development of and
manufacturing technologies for devices that utilize curved surfaces,
elasticity, and data sensing enabling connectivity solutions.

In raising the curtain for this new era, JFlex will kick-off as a
materials and manufacturing technology exhibition that will broadcast
never-before-seen and more creative devices to the world. We are now
making calls for exhibitors that provide solutions rich with new
technologies and ideas.

Exhibition applications will be accepted through Friday, September 28,
2019.

NOTICE : As part of the JFlex kick-off, we will offer a Flexible
Electronics Experience Zone during the final year of Printable
Electronics in 2018 (Exhibitors: CEMEDINE, GUNZE, Universal View).
Other exhibitors working continuously at the forefront of printable
electronics, include Yamagata University, the AIST Flexible Electronics
