Gulf Oil and Schwing Stetter sign aftermarket deal
Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd. has signed an agreement to supply “co-branded” lubricants for Schwing Stetter equipment across India, in addition to factory fill oils already being supplied by Gulf Oil. The product slate for the aftermarket includes high-performance anti-wear hydraulic oils formulated from Group II base stocks.
The agreement was signed by Ravi Chawla, managing director, Gulf Oil Lubricants India, and Anand Sundaresan, vice-chairman and managing director, Schwing Stetter.
Schwing Stetter India is a 100% subsidiary of its German parent and is a leading global player in the manufacture of concrete construction equipment. The company is the result of a merger between Schwing, which took over Stetter, another pioneering company manufacturing transit mixers and concrete batching plants, in 1982.
Gulf Oil Lubricants India is part of the Hinduja Group of Companies and one of the leading lubricant players in India.
“After field trials for several months on our concrete pumps, we have approved use of ‘Gulf Harmony AW 68Plus SS’ for our equipment,” said Sundaresan.
“This further strengthens our presence in the construction sector, which is a key segment for India’s growth and one of Gulf oil’s key focus segment in the coming years,” Chawla said.
