FMC Corp. names Eric W. Norris lithium division manager

FMC Corp., a diversified chemical company serving agricultural, industrial, environmental and consumer markets globally announced the appointment of Eric W. Norris as manager of the company’s lithium division.
FMC Lithium is one of the world’s leading producers of lithium-based products and is recognized as the technology leader in specialty organolithium chemicals and related technologies. The division is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, U.S.A.
Norris joined FMC in 2001 as director of Investor Relations. He was named director of Corporate Development in 2005, and a year later was appointed director of FMC’s Healthcare Ventures unit. Norris began his career in 1989 at Rohm and Haas Company in technical sales and held roles in strategic planning, marketing, business development and commercial management before being named Investor Relations manager in 1998.
“Eric is a strong business leader and is ideally suited to lead this growing business,” said Michael Wilson, president, FMC Specialty Chemicals Group. “Since 2009, he has served as the Lithium Division global commercial director responsible for global sales, marketing, research and development and selected operations. Eric brings significant industry knowledge and expertise to this important leadership role,” Wilson said.
Norris earned his bachelor of arts in Chemistry and German from Colgate University, and his MBA in Marketing and Finance from Harvard.
