Singapore economic board gets two new members

Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) gained two new board members on February 1—Francois Guibert, corporate vice-president and chief executive, Asia-Pacific, at STMicroelectronics, and Iain John Lo, vice-president for new business development and ventures at Shell Chemicals. Guibert previously held senior roles in business development and investor relations and is also vice-president of the European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. Lo was a consulting engineer overseas before joining Royal Dutch Shell P.L.C. in 1990. EDB’s Board now has 16 members, three of who were reappointed. They are Jonathan Asherson, regional director South-east Asia, Rolls-Royce Singapore; Deborah Henretta, group president, Asia, Procter & Gamble; and Shunsuke Ohtsu, chief executive Asia at Hitachi Ltd. and chairman of Hitachi Asia.
