Lubrizol strengthens leadership in IMEA with appointment of Nitin Mengi

Lubrizol Corporation, a global specialty chemical company owned by Berkshire Hathaway, based in Wickliffe, Ohio, U.S.A., has announced the appointment of Nitin Mengi as vice president of Lubrizol Additives for the India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) region, as well as chairman and managing director of Lubrizol India Private Limited. This strategic move is part of Lubrizol’s ongoing commitment to growth and leadership development in the IMEA region.

Mengi brings more than two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in leading cross-functional teams across Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East, and Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology, specialising in petroleum and petrochemicals, and an MBA from the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad, India.

In his new role, Mengi will collaborate with customers to drive growth in Lubrizol Additives’ business, which serves the transportation and industrial markets. He will also work closely with Bhavana Bindra, the recently appointed managing director of Lubrizol IMEA, to advance the company’s regional strategy.

Lubrizol continues to expand its operations and capabilities in the IMEA region, including a USD150 million investment in India. This investment includes the construction of the world’s largest CPVC resin plant in Vilayat, India, set to be operational in 2025, and a Global Capacity Center in Pune, India, to support Lubrizol’s innovation efforts in the region.
